Weyerhaeuser Company is searching for a Maintenance Supervisor for the Emerson Engineered Lumber Products (ELP)manufacturing facility in Emerson,
. This position is part of the Weyerhaeuser Engineered Products & Distribution Business and reports to the Maintenance Manager. It is a full time, exempt position. The Maintenance Supervisor plans and leads the daily activities of a team of millwrights, electricians, mechanics and multi-craft personnel in the areas of Safety, Quality and Maintenance for all equipment and buildings in order to meet
the departmental and unit goals.

Key Functions:
Plan, develop, manage and provide leadership of an effective Maintenance Department through:
Ensuring the safety and well being of oneself and all of the associates in the production facility.
Identify areas where safety issues could arise and take measures to proactively address the concerns.
Actively supervising, developing and communicating with a team of millwrights, electricians and multi-craft personnel to ensure effective communication across and between shifts and teams.
Department-wide use of reliable troubleshooting methods and
of machine and facility maintenance issues.
Utilizing preventive maintenance systems to reduce unscheduled downtime.
Effective use of performance measuring/management systems and skills development for department improvement.
Full utilization of computer-based and other resources available to support effective prioritization of maintenance requests and management of the maintenance inventory system.
Continuous improvement efforts involving maintenance and production crews in problem solving to maximize facility improvement in safety, housekeeping, waste reduction, quality, productivity and cost.

High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of three (3) years maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment with proven skills in the areas of preventive and predictive maintenance methods.
Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting ability.
Ability to identify root cause of problems and effectively initiate immediate corrective action to prevent reoccurrence.
Must have excellent interpersonal, team building, problem solving and communication skills.
Must have track record of consistently demonstrating leadership skills as well as positive influence and accomplishments in proactively influencing safety, quality, productivity and people development.
Ability to provide innovative solutions to continuously improve maintenance processes and eliminate unscheduled downtime.
Must be willing to work holidays as needed, be "on-call" and work rotating weekends as schedule requires.
Must be
literate with ability to learn and use software associated with maintenance tracking systems.
Ability to work in extreme temperatures and at heights should conditions warrant.

The following qualifications are preferred:
College degree or technical training in a related field.
Proven skills in hydraulics and pneumatic troubleshooting.
Experience in wood products manufacturing.
Experience with LEAN processes.
Experience with Maximo and/or SAP CMMS software.
